What customers say?

“ Great Bahn mi, the lemongrass beef is my go to here never disappoints, great tender beef every time full of flavour at a fair price. Although I do find that they are always a bit light on the meat compared to most places I’ve visited. ”

“ A really nice little Vietnamese shop in the heart of Yarraville that is perfect for a quick takeaway lunch or sit-down meal. I got the vegan mock duck Bahn mi and it was delicious. There are also other vegan options (tofu) for the rice paper rolls, noodle salad, and other menu items. Service was very quick and your dish is made in front of you at the counter. ”

“ Delicious authentic vietnamese foods in a cozy environment in the heart of yarraville village. Very reasonable pricing and, yummy vegan options. I had the rice paper rolls with tofu and vegan duck and the steamed bao buns, both very scrumptious looking forward to trying the test of the menu! ”

“ The spring rolls are heavenly little bursts of flavour. So delicious. Good fresh and tasty bahn mi. Staff are lovely, very friendly and kind. Great place. ”

“ This place in Yarraville is truly a hidden gem that I can’t recommend enough. The moment you step in, you’re greeted with warmth by the owner, Steph, and her team. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to enjoy some authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Speaking of the food, it’s an absolute delight! The wonton soup was a standout dish, offering comfort and a burst of flavors that perfectly complemented the Melbourne cold weather. The Vietnamese coffee was exceptional, and I also loved their other coffee offerings. The spring rolls were tasty and a great appetizer choice. However, the crackling pork banh mi stole my heart. The combination of tender pork with crunchy crackling and fresh veggies, all packed into a perfectly toasted baguette, created an explosion of flavors in every bite. Overall, Saigon Valley is a must-visit for anyone craving deliciously authentic Vietnamese food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. ”

“ When we came across this cosy restaurant I didn't expect to be finding my favourite Viet place in Melbourne (or ever!) and I can't recommend it enough. Everything was such a standout in this family-run restaurant. The pho broth was amazing - so light and aromatic. The noodles were so silky! We hadn't had honey soy chicken for years, and what a great decision to try it here, the flavour and batter was light but still sweet - the chicken was so tender inside! Same with the calamari - I definitely recommend getting it for all calamari lovers. The Szechuan eggplant that was recommended was also another favourite - the eggplant had a slight crisp to it and the sauce was yummm, also loved the pieces of tofu. ”

“ Everything was amazing the service as well as all the yummy dishes. Everything was perfectly cooked - my fav was the salt and pepper calamari and the prawn coleslaw. I don’t eat spicy food but even the Szechuan eggplant was beautiful and I couldn’t help myself but to go back for more, had just that right amount of heat. Wonton soup was amazing especially on these cold winter days. Will be back can’t wait to try there Pho and at lunch they do banh mí. ”

“ We had really tasty hearty bowls of pho and spicy lemongrass noodles soup. The rice spring rolls were yum too! ”
